Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, your name if you give it, and how you signed in (Google or an email link).
• Your picks: the genres, format and creator answers from onboarding, the choices you make in episodes, and which story we matched you with.
• Purchases: what you bought and your subscription status. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
• Creator applications: anything you send in the creator form.
• Advertising data: if you arrive from a TikTok ad, the TikTok pixel and Events API record visits, sign-ups and purchases, including a hashed (unreadable) version of your email, so we can measure which ads work.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising data: every page uses the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies, and our server uses Meta's Conversions API. Together they record page views, the stories you view, sign-ups, checkouts and purchases, with a hashed (unreadable) version of your email, your IP address and browser details. Meta uses this to measure our ads and to show Blindbox ads to you and to people like you. Meta handles it under its own privacy policy.

How we use it

To run your account, remember your choices across episodes, process payments, recommend stories, reply to creator applications, email you about new episodes if you opted in, and measure our advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run Blindbox: Stripe (payments), Supabase (account database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Google (if you sign in with Google), and TikTok and Meta (ad measurement and ad targeting). We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from episode emails using the link in any email.
• Ask us to access, correct, or delete your data by replying to any Blindbox email or your Stripe receipt.
• Cancel Plus any time from your account menu.
• Control how Meta uses this data for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, or opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at aboutads.info (US), youradchoices.ca (Canada) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU). You can also block or clear cookies in your browser.

Retention

We keep your account data while your account exists, and purchase records as long as tax and accounting law require.
